Feature Overview

Who's Responding provides all members with an additional voice communications channel in the form of "Push-to-Talk". This works exactly like a two-way radio or "walkie-talkie", one member holds down a button and talks, all other members who are using the smartphone app will hear it.

Push-to-talk uses members' mobile data connection to transmit and receive voice communications between other members in the same organisation. NOTE: At this time, the push-to-talk feature does not interact traditional radios in any way — these can be listened to through a separate radio stream.

Is there any additional charge to use push-to-talk?

The push-to-talk feature is included with your subscription, and there are no additional usage fees.

How much data does push-to-talk use?

Push-to-talk uses a very minimal amount of data - See the Data Usage page for more details.

Is there a delay between one member talking and other members hearing them?

This depends on the phones being used, and the signal quality. On most modern phones, with a moderately strong signal, there is at most a split-second delay.
