Who's Responding can send dispatch alerts as a text message that will work with any mobile phone. When combined with our toll-free call-in number, this allows both the alerting and the responder tracking features to be used without a smartphone.
Not at all. Text message alerts are completely free.
Our system relays alerts to the members’ mobile network the very instant they are received. How long it takes to get to the members’ phone depends on the capacity of their mobile network, and if they have a good signal — in most cases it takes no more than a few seconds.
Yes, with some limitations depending on the member's mobile network. The number that our messages come from is provider-specific, on some providers it will be unique to our system, and an alert can be assigned specifically to Who's Responding alerts on capable phones. On other networks, the messages come from a generic "paging" number that is also used for some other alerts — a specific sound can be assigned, but it will also be used for any other alerts on that number.
